Mary McCosker and Mary Solon, of the Lafayette Historical Society and co-authors of Lafayette, a booklet published by Arcadia Publishing as part of Arcadia’s Images of America series, will be discussing their new book.

About Mary McCosker
Mary McCosker has been a Lafayette resident most of her life. She is a graduate of Acalanes High School and majored in history at the University of California. She taught first and second grades at Donald Rheem Elementary School, Moraga, and married into the pioneer McCosker family of Canyon. Mary is currently President of the Lafayette Historical Society.
About Mary Solon
Mary Solon, was born in Ohio, graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in Biology. She and her husband, Daniel Lamey, are wizards on computers, and they arrived in Lafayette in 1969. Mary retired from her medical technician job in 2005 and joined the Lafayette Historical Society.
The Marys joined forces, assembled hundreds of older photos, added those from the fourth bore, and coauthored this informative book.
Admission is free. All members of the Moraga Historical Society, guests and prospective members are invited to attend.
